Dr. Aritsu also presented a project on the artificial engineering of T cells at a lab meeting. The visit provided a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas, explore new research directions, and lay the groundwork for future international collaborations!<\/p>\n

A comment from Dr. Aritsu:
\n<\/strong>I would like to express my sincere gratitude for this valuable opportunity.
\nDuring my visit to the Gras Lab, I learned how to use AlphaFold to predict TCR\u2013pMHC complex structures. In particular, learning to predict the structures of complexes containing peptides modified with non-canonical amino acids was a valuable experience that will help advance my research. Moving forward, I hope to compare structural predictions with experimental results to deepen our understanding of TCR-mediated antigen recognition and contribute to the rational design of antigenic peptides.
\nI also had the opportunity to present my research and engage in active discussions. Through these experiences, I realized that I need to further improve my English communication skills, particularly my ability to organize and clearly communicate my thoughts in response to unexpected questions and to develop discussions further.
\nIn addition, I had opportunities to interact with researchers beyond those in Gras lab. These experiences reinforced my appreciation of the importance of research networks and the need to actively build connections with researchers overseas.
\nMoving forward, I will continue practicing English, with particular attention to pronunciation and accent. I will also actively attend seminars and research presentations by international researchers to learn how to communicate effectively and engage in scientific discussions. Through these efforts, I hope to strengthen the communication skills needed in an international research environment. Furthermore, I will take advantage of opportunities for scientific exchange, such as academic conferences, to build stronger connections with researchers overseas and foster future collaborations and new research opportunities.
