Three-dimensional structural analysis of a crystal was performed to investigate molecular binding of TCR and HLA-peptide complex. We made a crystal from the HIV epitopes presented by two types of HLA-B*5101 we previously identified by the joint research with Oxford University. 3-dimensional crystal structure was revealed by X-ray analysis. Clarification of structure of HLA-peptide complex that TCR recognizes allowed to examine the changes of TCR recognition, on a molecular level, in response to epitopes’ variability that is involved in HIV immune escape.
