Guidelines for JSPS Research Fellowships for Young Scientists
Applications for FY2009 is now closed.
[1] Eligibility
♦Applicants must meet all of the following eligibility criteria:
  1. Applicant must be the second year PhD students or above. First year PhD students may apply if he/she will be in the second year at the time of appointment.
  2. Applicant must be a doctoral student conducting AIDS research under a member of the gCOE Global Education and Research Center Aiming at the Control of AIDS program. Students from other universities may apply. However, he/she has to transfer to the Kumamoto University Graduate School of Medical Sciences if appointed as a fellow.
  3. Applicant must be under the age of 35 for DC1 and 36 for DC2.
  4. Applicant must a paper on AIDS research relevant to the AIDS gCOE program that is already published or accepted in a peer-reviewed international journal (for papers in press, a copy of Acceptance Letter must be attached).
