We organize an annual meeting, Kumamoto AIDS Seminar, every September. The meeting started in 2000, and currently, more than 100 AIDS researchers nationwide participate in the seminar. We invite internationally renowned HIV/AIDS scientists, and participants gain exposure to cutting-edge research.
Graduate students and junior investigators also have chances to present
their data. The Seminar provides opportunities for them to discuss science
with researchers outside of their institutes and to receive suggestions
and insights for their research. Kumamoto AIDS Seminar is now held as a joint international symposium with the gCOE Prigran, starting in 2009. |
