Overseas Liaison Laboratories
The OLL program provides training opportunities to young investigators and doctoral students through collaborative research in laboratories abroad which are well experienced in research collaboration. It aims at fostering international collaborative efforts and preparing young scientists to take global initiatives in HIV/AIDS research.

Accreditation Standards for OLL
1 Applicants submit application forms and references to the International Research Committee.
Please refer to "Guidelines for OLL" for application procedures.
2 The International Research Committee reviews applications. If necessary, the committee will conduct site visits. Accreditation may be revoked if an accredited OLL unit can no longer satisfy the requirements.
3 Candidate laboratories which meet the requirements will be accredited as OLL.
4 Doctoral students and young investigators (within 6 years of receiving doctoral degree) who wish to conduct research in OLL discuss prospective projects with their sponsors in sponsoring OLL.
4 Applicants submit application forms to the International Research Committee.
6 The Committee reviews applications.
The review may be delegated to external reviewers.
7 Notification of approval. Applicants will also receive reviews prepared by a reviewer or an International Research Committee member, for future reference.
8 Conducting proposed research prijects at OLL.
The program will support 3-6 months of research at OLL. Exceptions will be made under certain circumstances, and less than three months of research or two visits for a total of more than three months in a year may be approved. However, less than six weeks of research will not be approved.
9 At the completion of the proposed research in OLL, the program participants submit progress reports, including reports to be posted on the website, to the International Research Committee.
If the project continues for more than three months, the participants submit an interim report at the end of the third month.
10 Evaluation of research progress
11 The evaluation forms will be sent to the program participants.
