Guidelines for Research Assistantships
Applications for FY2012 is now closed.
[1] Eligibility
Doctoral students under AIDS GCOE faculty members’ supervision, who enroll in AIDS Course (at April 1, 2012). However, fully employed students, JSPS fellows, and students who receive a large medical-treatment benefits or full scholarships are not eligible.
[2] Amount of payment

・Government-sponsored international students will receive stipends of approximately JPY30,000 for the maximum of 25 hours of work/month.
・Other than those above: approximately JPY 60,000, JPY 90,000 or JPY 150,000 /month. However, stipend amount can be reduced if employee has other incomes.

[3] The period of appointment
After employment procedure finishes to March 31, 2013

Applicants, who are accepted to enroll in April 2012, should clearly state your acceptance  in the space of academic year(8. Grade of PhD Course).

1) Submitted materials selection: promptly

2) Interview: if necessary
[8] Responsibility of accepted students
1) To take part in, to give presentations at WYI-Seminar series, and to submit reports at the end of each month.
2) To submit an annual research report at the end of Academic Year ( about middle of February, 2013)

[9] Others
  1. Evaluation of submitted reports, attendance and active participation at WYI-Seminar will be considered as one of crucial evaluation criteria for the following Academic Year’s recruitment.
  2. Application forms are requested to prepare in English. However, selection judgment is based on application content rather than English skill. Please submit materials prepared solely by yourself.
*Applicants will receive feedback including English skills afterwards. There’s no need to seek for your supervisor’s review.
