Collaboration Unit for Infection

As a "collaboration research hub" for infectious disease research and education at Kumamoto University and in the Asian region, our Research Center will establish a platform where researchers involved in infectious diseases can get together and collaborate each other beyond various boundaries, and further enhance multidisciplinarity and capabilities in the field of infectious diseases research. Additionally, our Research Center aims to provide a platform for instructing and fostering the next generation of specialists and professionals in the field of infectious diseases.

熊本大学およびアジア地域における感染症研究教育の「ハブ」として、部局の壁を超えて感染症にかかわる研究者が集約、連携する場を形成することで、感染症研究の集学的な展開と研究力のさらなる強化を図る。合わせて、感染症を専門とする次世代人材の育成の場としての役割を果たすことを目的とする。
